The doctors and our attached Midwife share responsibility for the care of pregnant patients. A 6-week ante-natal check with the nurse is available to all new mums.
We offer an 8 week baby check with a GP. Subsequent milestone checks will be arranged with the health visitor.
Please ask for an appointment with any GP to initiate the contraceptive pill or injection. Please ask for an appointment with a nurse for a ‘pill review’ if a repeat of a contraceptive pill is needed or for a repeat of the contraceptive injection.
If you are travelling abroad, please make sure you complete the Travel Risk Assessment form at least 8 weeks before travelling to arrange any vaccinations that may be necessary. We may be unable to fit you in if less than 8 weeks before travel but if so, we will signpost you to an alternative provider (please note that there will be fees for a private provider).
We offer a vaccination service including seasonal influenza, pneumococcal and shingles.
We offer an annual review to include an osteoporosis assessment (and referral for a DEXA scan where appropriate) and a cardiovascular disease risk assessment. Fasting bloods will be arranged and reviewed.
We offer an annual review to support those with learning disabilities. These are 30 minute appointments with a nurse or GP.
